FORMAT: A combination of lecture, games, video, discussion, handouts, practical demonstration, dramas, case studies and skills practice which link theory to everyday work with breastfeeding mothers and babies. There is variety and we have fun! Each Study Day ends with some optional multiple choice exam questions for any who want to test recall and problem solving around the topic for that day, thus providing great practice for "The Exam."
BABIES AT STUDY DAYS: Babes in arms are welcome but I require an agreement in advance from such a mum. As it is a professional education day the mum agrees to step outside the room if her baby becomes noisy and participants are no longer able to hear and be heard or to concentrate. I would remind the mum that, no matter how interesting the session, nothing is as important as meeting her child's need for mum's attention! The Study Days are not suitable or safe for mobile babies.
ENQUIRIES: You are welcome to contact Deborah with any questions you may have.
